Sensei Brian Singh

Sensei Brian Singh currently holds the rank of Sichidan (7th Dan) and is currently affiliated to the International Karate Daigaku (I.K.D.). Sensei Singh started his karate training from six years of age  under tutelage of his father Sensei Dennis Forde Singh, who is one of the pioneers of karate in Guyana.  Sensei Brian also trained extensively under the late Sensei Maynard Miner Chief Instructor of the All New York Karate Association in Brooklyn New York .  He also practiced Judo into his late teens.

Sensei Brian participated in numerous karate championship tournaments including the 1995 World Karate Championships, several Pan-American and National karate championships.  He currently coaches students for various karate championship tournaments and officiates in I.K.D. local and international karate tournaments.

Sensei Brian Singh is also the Chief instructor at the Greenpoint YMCA Karate Club located at the Greenpoint YMCA in Williamsburg Brooklyn for over 30 years. 

He was inducted into the  International Karate Daigaku's HALL OF FAME on November 25, 2023.

He received the International karate Daigaku's MEDAL OF HONOR on November 25 2023.
